Constants of social sensibility and strategies of reflection: Findings from a research project

This article highlights the key findings of the research project ‘Constants of Social Sensibility and Strategies of Reflection’ supported by the Russian Science Foundation and carried out at Herzen University (2024–2025). The study focuses on the analysis of affected social sensibility in the context of the post-global world and digital hyperreality. The authors develop an interdisciplinary framework at the intersection of philosophical anthropology, aesthetics, and ethics, introducing and elaborating the key concepts of the ‘witness-subject’, ‘topological subjectivity’, and ‘topo-modernism’. The paper demonstrates how narrative and iconic regimes configure social affects and foster the emergence of a responsible subject capable of reflection in the domains of biopolitics and technological challenges. The findings of the project are intended to construct diagnostic and prognostic models for human-centered social policy and education.
