This article presents the results of the systemic activities of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy at Herzen University, which functions as an integrated hub for testing and implementing innovative educational models. It provides a detailed analysis of the Center’s evolution from a set of disparate initiatives to the creation of a holistic ecosystem that integrates the objectives of fostering entrepreneurial competencies, promoting financial culture, and ensuring social inclusion. Specific examples illustrate the key areas of activity, including accelerating student startups, implementing the master’s program Financial Literacy Education, and developing and delivering a specialized course for socially vulnerable groups. Particular emphasis is placed on methodological aspects, including the use of a service-learning approach, the organization of interdisciplinary project teams, and the creation of an end-to-end performance evaluation system. The Center is shown to act as a catalyst for the transition from the traditional model of teacher education to a practice-oriented paradigm that equips graduates with the competencies required to operate in conditions of uncertainty and rapid change. Based on statistical analysis, an assessment of first-year students’ interest in entrepreneurial activity was conducted, which makes it possible to group students and develop targeted programs for the development of entrepreneurial competences and practical skills, taking into account different levels of interest, thereby reducing the volume of resources required and increasing the efficiency of their use.
