This article examines the history of psychological training for pedagody students at Herzen University from the 1930s to the present day. It analyzes the structure and content of the psychology syllabi developed by the Department of Psychology under S. L. Rubinstein’s supervision and by contemporary authors. The study emphasizes the continuity of core principles in teaching psychology to future teachers, specifically relevance, scientific rigor, practical orientation, and the unity of theory and practice. Key structural and thematic components of the psychology course are noted to have remained consistent throughout the period.
